Yet More Topical Talk

1. On the Burger King Commercial featuring "Hootie."
"This commercial keeps me awake at night. But at least we are pretty much guaranted to never be subjected to new Hootie and the Blowfish music ever again.

2. On the tradition of Ham for Easter.
"I have mixed emotions. Easter is a great time - lots of candy and eggs. But why does it have to be ruined with ham?"

3. On college basketball vs. Pro basketball.
"After watching the college games this weekend and then watching the Sixers game on Sunday night, comparing college basketball to professional basketball is like comparing a Porsche (college basketball) to a Yugo (pro basketball)."

4. On watching the Spring Break Shark Attack movie:
"It was like watching a train-wreck....but since I watched the entire thing, does this make me gay?"

5. On the joys of driving during rush hour in the rain.
"I have gotten kicked in the balls a few times in the past, and the pain would be almost worth it if I could avoid rush hour."

6. On the Pope.
"The man has done great things for Christians around the world.....however, has anybody else noticed his startling resemblence to Yoda?

7. On Plug and Play games:
"I can't get enough of them. I just bought the Commodor 64 plug-and-play today, because I want pixilation in my graphics, dammit!

8. On the Scunci Steamer:
"I am an infomercial whore. I bought this a few weeks ago. Steam rules."

1. Everytime I see that Burger King commercial I say out loud whether I'm alone or with someone else "Poor Hootie." I mean what kind of dire straits has this man gotten himself into, so that he's now in front of me in a coyboy suit singing about that new chicken sandwhich. I get depressed every time I see it.

2) Los doesn't like ham. This will never change. There will always be turkey/pork at all family dinners as an alternative to ham.

3) I was at the wife's family's Easter dinner and I knew college basketball was on. There was a ROOM FULL OF GUYS watching TV and I was unanimously shot down with my suggesting that we watch basketball. Instead I had to suffer through the Mummy Returns. What the hell?!?!

4) Speaking of train wrecks, I love watching world's wildest police videos. I especially love when the car getting chased either:
a) flips over a few times
b) t-bones another car/truck while running a red light.

5) Fortunately, I know every back road between work and home. This is a major plus, especially when KYW actually gets the traffic report correct. However when the traffic guy says 'Blue Route South looks good' and then I get on it and it's bumper to bumper traffic, I wonder why they hell they even give traffic reports.

6. Howard Stern played the 3 "words" uttered by the pope this morning for his easter blessing. He sounds like a lion growling. It may be time to move on.

7. I am a fan of plug and play games, especially when going on vacation. What's better than going for the all-time record in bosconian while waiting for everyone else to get ready for the beach?

8. I have yet to get one of these 'as seen on tv' products. However the wife is pushing me to get those plastic tupperware containers that we keep seeing. The bullet is also a potential future purchace if we can fit it into our kitchen.

1. Coming to a sold out arena near you, Hootie and the Burger Kings. The 1st 500 through the doors get a free whopper combo meal (w/ tax)!

2. You're just a sissy, Karl. Eat the ham and enjoy it.

3. I don't care what type of basketball it is, it still SUCKS.

4. Spring Break Shark Attack movie?
Did stupid teeny-bopper idiots get devoured? Then I give it two-thumbs-up!

5. Cars have bumpers. Use them.

6. The Pope is a great man, and has done many great things, but I still think his religion is crap.

7. Games are good for the soul!

8. That's all fine and dandy, Karl, but where's the microwave? Huh, Karl? The MICROWAVE!!??!
